  • Welcome Back Event: The library staff invites all members of the Stonehill Community to join us for our second annual Welcome Back Event, from 3-5 p.m. on Thursday, September 21. Stop by and you will be treated to food, swag, activities, giveaways, and – best of all - it’s all FREE. 
  • Scholar Series: These monthly events seek to highlight the knowledge being created by members of Stonehill’s community. Each session in the series features a presentation by a member of Stonehill’s faculty followed by a discussion over wine and cheese. 
  • Help Wanted: Are you an aspiring graphic designer, social media marketer, or journalist looking to build your resume? The library is hiring two (unpaid) fall-semester interns to assist with our marketing and social media initiatives, and we'd love to hear from you!

  • LibGuide of the Month – Citation Styles: Has your biology professor asked you to cite your lab report using the CSE citation style? Is your psychology professor requiring you to write your paper using APA style?  As you’ve probably learned by now, there are many different citation styles.   • Digital Innovation Grants: The Digital Innovation Lab at the MacPhaidin Library is offering Digital Innovation Grants of up to $1,500 to faculty to help incorporate digital platforms into course curricula. The deadline for applications is Friday, October 6th, so get working on your application today!
  • Up Close & Personal with Irish Authors  
    On Monday, September 25, 12:30 - 1:30 p.m., students, faculty and staff are invited to meet, greet and listen to three authors all the way from Dublin, Ireland on the mysteries and joys of Irish children's literature today. MacPháidín Library, 1st Floor, South Wing. The Irish Cultural Center has promised some freshly baked scones as well!
  • Free Access to the Wall Street Journal and the New York Times: All members of the Stonehill Community can sign up for free electronic access to the Wall Street Journal and the New York Times. Follow the links to set up your accounts.
  • Book a study room. Need a study space or a place to take an online class?  Check out the study spaces that are available to students on campus.
  • Make an Appointment with a Librarian: Librarians are here to help you, whether you are on campus or off.  Use our easy LibCal system to book your appointment.
  • SOAR: Stonehill showcases student and faculty work in the college’s new digital repository, SOAR. Check out some of the documents that are in the repository on the library home page.
