Hannah Pignato ’24 Shares the Invocation at Academic Convocation 2023
The student prayed that God may bless students, faculty and staff at Stonehill this academic year as they work to achieve their goals.
Good and loving God,
As we begin this year together, please bless our community in all that we do.
Guide our professors and our minds while we learn and study that we may always seek truth that comes from You alone.
Protect us while we compete on and off the field, knowing that our worth, of which we are defined by, extends beyond what we leave on the scoreboard.
Help us to grow a community rooted in compassion for those around us as we gather in club meetings, complete our internships, conduct research projects and take on new challenges.
Lord, in a special way, we ask that you bless the class of 2027 as they begin their time here, may their first year be a fruitful and exciting experience as they join fully in to the Stonehill community.
We also ask you to bless the class of 2024 as our time comes to a close, may we cherish each memory made and moment shared, knowing that your plan for us this year is already known and lovingly crafted with the most good for each of us in mind.
We ask this through Christ our Lord, Amen.
