Stonehill honored for exceptional career services
The College’s Career Development Center has been honored for preparing students for lifelong success.
Stonehill College has been honored by Colleges of Distinction, an advocate for schools whose undergraduate experiences are grounded in a philosophy of engagement, teaching, community and outcomes, in recognition for its exceptional career development services.
Colleges awarded the Career Development badge have shown that they are well equipped to help their students leverage their degree through placements at industry-leading organizations and highly selective graduate schools.

Students are connected with the Career Development team from Day 1 and are presented with the chance to develop their professional skills, explore career options and engage in internships, co-ops and research opportunities that align with their goals.
The office partners with academic departments to include their resources in the classroom and help guide students toward the services they should be seeking at different points throughout their academic career. Career and major exploration are integrated across all fields of study.
Career Development’s services can be accessed online 24/7 and by appointment for one-on-one counseling. Programs and training include self-assessments, resume and cover letter writing, and interviewing and networking skills development. The center also hosts events and workshops to help students receive feedback and job search skills.
There are many ways to engage with the career development. Advisors at the center offers both career and personal inventories to help students better understand themselves as well as their major and career interests. The center has a dedicated staff member for employer relations and corporate partnerships. Furthermore, Stonehill helps connect students and alumni through mentorship and internship programs. Many of these services are available to alumni throughout their careers.
