Great Value Colleges recently honored Stonehill College as one of 30 colleges nationwide proactively working to make the world a more just and compassionate place.
In choosing Stonehill for inclusion in its 30 U.S. Colleges Excelling at Community Outreach, the organization credits our faculty members’ dedication to making face shields for local hospitals and the College’s donation of protective equipment to local emergency services as some of the ways Stonehill is helping our community during this time.
The methodology for the rankings says that while most colleges have a goal of making the world a better place, this list highlights the 30 colleges setting an example and adapting to support their community during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Carnegie Foundation also classifies Stonehill as a community outreach campus because leadership in the community is central to Stonehill’s mission. From the Farm at Stonehill and Arts Outreach to the H.O.P.E. Service Immersion Program and Community Engagement Day, Stonehill provides students and graduates with the resources to engage with their community in ways that are authentic to their goals and values.
