LEAP @ Stonehill
The Lab for Education & Application Prototype (LEAP) grant program, funded by the Massachusetts Manufacturing Innovation Initiative (M2I2), is a broad coalition of AIM Photonics, government, academia, and industry that evolved as a solution to a national shortage of photonics and electronics technicians and engineers.

Located near the College's campus in Easton, Massachusetts, the LEAP @ Stonehill houses state-of-the-art equipment applicable to material characterization and high speed photonics device testing. Students in the Advanced Manufacturing & Integrated Photonics Program, a technician training certificate program offered in partnership with Bridgewater State University, and students in the undergraduate Photonics program gain hands-on experience in the LEAP @ Stonehill. It is also used to support student and faculty research at Stonehill College.
The LEAP @ Stonehill is part of a network of LEAPS throughout Massachusetts, a part of The AIM Photonics Academy. Funding is through the Massachusetts Manufacturing Innovation Initiative (M2I2).
