Transfer Credits and Dual Enrollment

Stonehill College may award transfer credit for courses taken at other accredited colleges or universities; through approved abroad programs; Advanced Placement Exams (AP); International Baccalaureate Exams (IB); and college courses taken while in High School.

Advanced Placement (AP) and International Baccalaureate (IB)

Stonehill College participates in the Advanced Placement Program (AP) administered by The College Board. Each academic department establishes its own criteria for awarding placement and credit for Advanced Placement. A maximum of three (3) credits are awarded for test scores of 4 or 5; the Stonehill equivalent course(s) and number of credits for each Advanced Placement course is published in the Hill Book. Stonehill College also recognizes the level of academic achievement represented by the successful completion of coursework in the International Baccalaureate (IB) program.

SACHEM Cross Registration

Stonehill College students may cross-register for up to two courses a semester at any of the SACHEM (Southeastern Association for Cooperation of Higher Education in Massachusetts) institutions on a space-available basis as part of their normal full-time load. Cross registration is only available during the fall and spring semesters.
