Stonehill Undergraduate Research Experience (SURE)
The Stonehill Undergraduate Research Experience (SURE) program is an opportunity for students in the Classes of 2024, 2025 and 2026 with an overall GPA of 2.00 or higher to perform significant, publishable research under the guidance of and in collaboration with an experienced faculty mentor.
The experience, available in all disciplines, helps to solidify and define students' career choices, both through graduate school decisions and in post-college employment. SURE 2023 research projects begin on Tuesday, May 30, 2023 and run through either Friday, July 28, 2023 (8 week session) or Friday, August 11, 2023 (10 week session). Stipends are paid to the SURE Scholars (at least $4,800 for the 8-week program and at least $6,000 for the 10-week program) and faculty mentors ($3,500 plus $500 per additional SURE Scholar) and $500 to cover the cost of supplies and expenses directly connected with the research project.
