Green Student Groups
Stonehill students are involved in many student led group initiatives that work towards a more sustainable community here at Stonehill. Student groups raise awareness of environmental issues in our community and around the world through programs and events that serve to encourage environmentally friendly practices among students, faculty and staff. Students for Environmental Action (SEA)
The club, Students for Environmental Action (SEA), serves to educate the campus community about different environmental issues on campus and around the world. S.E.A. sponsors campus wide programs and initiatives that make Stonehill a greener school.
Sustainability fairs are campus wide events that are organized by SEA and occur once a semester. The sustainability fairs feature student groups, class projects, department groups, and vendors associated with the college that are working to promote and incorporate sustainability on campus.

Food Truth
The student formed group “Food Truth” encompasses all aspects surrounding the food system: production, purchasing, menu planning, composting and waste disposal. Members of Food Truth promote healthy living, sustainability, and eating “real” food. Members of this group have been doing the Real Food Calculator – organized by the Real Food Challenge – since 2015. We have worked with Sodexo leadership and Purchasing to steadily increase students’ access to locally grown, fairly traded, humanely raised and sustainably grown food on campus. The group’s focus may shift from year to year depending upon the group members’ passions and interests.
