Stonehill's Master of Science (M.S.) in Data Analytics program ensures students gain in-demand skills and knowledge necessary to analyze data and extract actionable information from complex data sets to support informed decision-making across a variety of industries.

The AI for data-driven business specialization explores foundational AI concepts, its applications in business strategy, organizational adoption of AI technologies and 
responsible governance of decision systems. Students will learn how AI technologies create organizational value, how leaders can integrate AI into strategic decision-making, how to utilize AI tools to create value within their organizations, and how to address ethical and social implications of intelligent systems.

Through this specialization, students will learn to:

  • apply AI and machine learning techniques to analyze complex business problems, evaluate model performance and generate predictive and prescriptive insights for data-driven decision-making
  • design and communicate AI-enabled solutions and strategies that translate analytical 
    outputs into actionable business insights and organizational value
  • apply AI-driven analytics with consideration for bias, fairness, transparency and 
    ethical governance, ensuring responsible and accountable use of AI in business 
    contexts

All data analytics master’s students are required to take five core courses as well as five specialization courses to complete their program. For the AI for data-driven business specialization, courses such as Generative AI & AI Tools for Business Applications and AI Driven Decision-Making & Analytics ensure business leaders gain in-demand expertise in AI-enabled strategy and decision-making and the tools to ensure ethical AI governance.

AI-Driven Decision-Making & Analytics

This course explores how artificial intelligence and advanced analytics can support data-driven decision-making in business organizations. Students learn how AI models generate predictions, identify patterns in large datasets, and inform strategic choices in areas such as marketing, operations, and financial planning. Emphasis is placed on interpreting AI-generated insights, evaluating model limitations, and applying analytical results responsibly to improve managerial decision-making.

Earn a Master's Degree or Certificate in Data Analytics

The College also offers a five-course professional certificate in AI strategy and leadership. If a student completes the AI Strategy & Leadership Graduate Certificate and wishes to pursue their master's degree, these courses can be applied toward the degree.
